Sussex County Habitat’s Women Build Project continues as Habitat’s National Sponsor Lowe’s presents free how-to clinics including How to Prepare for Painting and How to Repair a Toilet. The Houston United Methodist Church Annual Yard and Bake Sale: 7 a.m. to noon, 235 Broad St., Houston. There will be plenty of household items, books, etc. for sale.  No clothing or large furniture will be sold.  The Methodist Men will be selling scrapple, sausage, and hot dog sandwiches outside.  Baked goods and chicken salad will be in the fellowship room inside.

A Grotto’s Community Night for Houston UMC: 4-9 p.m., Grott’s, Milford.  When you present a voucher, Grotto’s will donate 20-percent for the total sale back to Houston UMC. Vouchers are available at church on the fellowship room table from Barbara Johnson, and at the yard and bake sale on June 18.  Vouchers are not available at the restaurant.


Wednesday, June 22

Practice sessions in ballroom and rhythm dance: 7 p.m., Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge, 760 Moose Lodge Road. Wyoming. Experienced dancers will be on hand.  Admission is $3 per person paid at the door.


Friday, June 24

Sunset cruises to benefit Food Bank of Delaware: 7-10 p.m., 213 Wyatt Ave., Bowers Beach. Captain’s Lady Charters is partnering with the food bank to offer the cruise. Tickets are $30 per person per ride and include light fare prepared by students from The Culinary School at the Milford Branch and tastings from local breweries, wineries or distilleries. Frederica Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary Sub Sale: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Frederica. Twelve- inch subs for sale: Italian and ham $7, turkey and chicken $8. Chicken salad available: pint $7, quart $12.
