Harrington man arrested for threatening

HARRINGTON – Police arrested Harrington resident Kenneth L. Kellam, 58, after he threatened to kill a victim during a domestic dispute.

Kellam, of the first block of Arkansas Drive, was arrested by the Harrington Police Department May 20. They responded to an address in the 17,000 block of South Dupont Highway for a report of the domestic dispute in progress at the time.

When police arrived, they contacted Kellam and an adult female victim. Police determined Kellam assaulted the victim and made the threat while the pair were involved in an argument, causing the victim to fear for her safety.

Police took Kellam into custody and transported him to the Harrington Police Department for processing.  He was charged with offensive touching and terroristic threatening.

He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $1,500 secured bond.
