Harrington man crashes 4-wheeler, arrested for DUI

HARRINGTON -Cory P. Callaway, 22 of the 300 block of Carpenter Bridge Rd., was arrested by the Harrington Police Department April 1 after allegedly crashing his 4-wheeler into a telephone pole.

While on patrol, officers responded to a report of an accident involving the 4-Wheeler in the 200 Block of Delaware Ave.  Police and firefighters arrived to find it crashed into a telephone pole and located Callaway lying in the yard near the accident scene.

Callaway was treated by EMS on scene and was transported to Milford Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  While speaking to him on the scene, officers could smell a moderate odor of alcohol.

Officers obtained a search warrant for a blood draw and then responded to Milford Memorial Hospital to complete the blood draw.  After the blood draw was completed, Callaway was issued traffic summons for operating an OHV under the influence and several charges charges relating to driving the OHV on the roadway.  He remained at Milford Memorial Hospital for treatment and was later released pending a future court appearance.
