Harrington man wanted after fleeing from police

HARRINGTON – The Harrington Police Department is currently searching for Antonio J. Vilone, 29 of the 200 Block of East St. in Harrington, after he fled from Harrington officers in a vehicle.

While on patrol, the Harrington police responded to a residence in the 200 Block of East St. to assist the Delaware State Police with a stolen vehicle complaint. The reporting person stated that Vilone took the victim’s vehicle. A Harrington officer observed the vehicle pull back into the driveway at the residence on East St. while searching the area. When the officer attempted to contact Vilone who was driving the vehicle, Vilone fled in the vehicle and lead the officer on a pursuit for several miles.

Officers then lost the vehicle and were unable to locate him. The Harrington Police Department has warrants on file for Vilone charging him with disregarding a police officer’s signal, driving with a suspended or revoked license and several traffic violations.  Vilone is also wanted by the Delaware State Police and Kent County Superior Court.  He has several active capias out of several other courts.  Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact the Harrington Police Department at (302) 398-4493 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
