One suspect arrested, one remains at large after theft of vehicle

wendy-a-crew javon-savageHARRINGTON – The Harrington Police Department arrested one suspect and is currently looking for a second after a motor vehicle was stolen.

Police responded to a residence on West Center St. Sept. 4 for a report of a vehicle theft.  Police arrived and contacted the victim who reported to police that his vehicle was stolen sometime the previous evening.  Police were able to contact witnesses who reported seeing a female and a male enter into the vehicle and leave in the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed that after the vehicle was stolen it was wrecked on Fox Hunters Rd. in the area of Hopkins Cemetery Rd.

Police identified the driver as Wendy A. Crew, 29 of the first block of Jack Dr. in Felton, and the passenger as Javon A. Savage, 22,of the First Block of McKee Rd. in Dover.  Police obtained warrants for the pair.

Crew turned herself into the Harrington Police Department Sept. 15 and was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and conspiracy in the second degree.  She was processed and arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace 2 and was released on $4,000 unsecured bond.
