Party-goer shot Easter morning in Harrington

HARRINGTON –A 24-year-old male was taken to Bayhealth’s Milford Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle after being shot early Sunday morning  at a residence on Flat Iron Road.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. March 27 after the hospital contacted the Kent County Emergency Operations Center (9-1-1) to report the victim arriving with a gunshot wound to his lower extremity.

According to the Delaware State Police, an investigation revealed there was a party at a residence in the 300 block of Flat Iron Rd. earlier that evening and while the victim was standing in the driveway, an unknown suspect began firing an undetermined amount of gunshots in the direction of the house.

The victim was allegedly struck one time and has since been treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries. No suspect information could be provided.
