Harrington man arrested for possession of marijuana

HARRINGTON – On April 2 the Harrington Police Department arrested Mason D. Ciccaglione-Acevedo, 19, of the 400 Block of Killens Pond Road after police conducted a traffic stop.

According to Lt. Earl Brode, while on patrol police stopped a vehicle on Milford-Harrington highway for a traffic violation.  When police contacted Mr. Ciccaglione-Acevedo who was operating the vehicle, they immediately smelled and odor of marijuana. Officers then searched the car and located a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Ciccaglione-Acevedo was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing.

Police issued Mr. Ciccaglione-Acevedo criminal summons for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic offenses. He was released pending a court appearance. A passenger in the vehicle was questioned by police but was released with no charges.
