Harrington traffic stop leads to drug charges

Daryl Robinson and Angelo C. Lorefice were arrested Feb. 24 at 1:40 a.m. after they were stopped for an expired registration.

While on patrol, officers stopped a vehicle operated by 19-year-old Robinson of the 4200 block of South State St. in Camden with 46-year-old Lorefice of the first block of Lott Court in Felton riding along as a passenger.

While conducting computer checks, police determined that Robinson and Lorefice both had active capias.  Both were taken into custody without incident.  Police then conducted a vehicle search and located drug paraphernalia and ten bags of heroin. Robinson and Lorefice were then transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing.

Robison was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, expired tags and no proof of insurance in possession.  Lorefice was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession or consumption of a controlled substance.  Both were arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 for the capias and drug charges.

Robinson was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $5,000 secured bond and Lorefice was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $750 secured bond.
