Harrington teen arrested for marijuana use

A Harrington police officer smelled marijuana coming from the man standing in front of him in line at the Valero in Harrington on Feb. 20.

The officer, who was there to purchase a drink, began questioning Jeremiah C. Brown, 18 of Diamond Court Apartments, when the odor allegedly became stronger.

A search of Brown’s clothing was then conducted by police. A small amount of marijuana was located, along with drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody and transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing.

Mr. Brown was issued a criminal summons for subsequent offense of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was released pending a future court appearance.
