Lake Forest student-athletes to play in college

FELTON – In total, eight Lake Forest High School senior student-athletes will be playing a varsity sport at the college level next school year.

On the afternoon of Friday, April 28 in front of a LFHS gym, the school celebrated all of its senior students in a pep rally-type of atmosphere.

Prior to going through the list of senior names, the seven athletes gathered with family for one last photo op while donning their respective school’s gear.

Among the group of athletes: three of head coach Michele Tucker’s field hockey players. Kaylee Collison (Roanoke College), Karinne Moyer (Bridgewater College) and Brooke Tucker (Albright College).

The athletes

Kaylee Collison – field hockey at Roanoke College

Faith Garey – softball at Delaware Tech

Drew Harris – cross country/track at Delaware Valley

Mya Maddox – softball at Daytona State College

Karinne Moyer – field hockey at Bridgewater College

Kerrigan Simpson – softball at Virginia Wesleyan

Brooke Tucker – field hockey at Albright College

Yasmine Rowley – track and field at Wesley College

Lake Forest hopes to see an even larger group of student-athletes take the next step next school year.
